La sala productions began in la sala.

A partnership between Luis Jimenez and Sam Roos, "La Sala Productions" is named after the location they first met, a private dining room in a restaurant they were both training to be waiters in. They didn't last long as co-workers (Sam never could hold a restaurant job for long,) but the friendship they made there has led to a creative partnership and now our own independent production company. La Sala is a place for smart, off-center comedy that isn't afraid to laugh at anything, especially ourselves.

Luis Victor Jimenez
Is a Cuban American actor born and raised in Miami, Florida. Luis trained improv, acting, and writing at the UCB, and Face Off Unlimited Theaters in New York City. He now resides as an actor in Los Angeles, California. Within two weeks, Luis was cast in his first feature film "Larry Crowne" which was directed/cast by Tom Hanks. Cast as a humble member of his scooter gang, this role helped earned his way into Screen Actors Guild.

Shortly after, Luis went on to star in an award winning short film called "The Immigrant" with Comedy Legends Scott Thompson, and Dave Foley (Kids in the hall). In 2014 Luis starred in the CBS Diversity showcase, which led to Guest/Co-starring roles on Network Television shows like NCIS: Los Angeles, The Millers, The Mentalist, Instant Mom, Toyota, Comcast Cable, Lipton and most recently the sketch comedy web series called 'Booze Lightyear".

Sam Roos is a writer, actor, voice actor, improviser, sketch comedian, and aspiring everything.

Born in Portland, Maine, in 1987, Sam graduated from Brandeis University in 2009. At Brandeis I majored in English and American Literature, but spent most of my energy writing, performing, and improvising comedy. That obsession boiled over with a semester "abroad" in Chicago studying at The Second City. After graduation, my love affair with Chicago and improv was realized fully, and for five years I watched and performed live comedy roughly three thousand nights a week.

In 2015 I moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in television writing, but still have a habit of ending up on stage or in front of the camera from time to time. These days, you can see me improvise with Luis in the group Gin Belly around LA, or popping up with my writing partner Amy Thompson anywhere from Boston to LA to do live shows and make silly videos as the sketch duo EVIL.
